WHO I AM.
Daughter, sister, friend, confidante, lover, empath, healer.
Photographer, storyteller, producer, manager, creative, director.
Anti-capitalist, abolitionist, radical, freedom fighter, community organizer, activist, feminist.
Grounded to this Earth. Grounded in my Philippine roots and ancestors.
Immigrant roots. Parents born and raised in the Philippines. Born and bred in Jersey. Based in Los Angeles.
I enjoy body movement through yoga, pole dancing, hiking, roller-skating, and dancing.
My life’s purpose is to fight for the liberation of Black and Brown communities who have been oppressed, colonized, and murdered for generations and decades through art, healing, community-building, envisioning a world we want to live in. and strategize for what’s needed to make that vision happen— on both a micro and macro scale.
I am deeply committed to living a life of ease, self-fulfillment, community, connection, and joy. I am rooted in anti-capitalist values and views and am currently navigating and understanding how I can situate and share myself in this world.
While I’m still creating a road map for myself, what I do know about myself is I’m really good at putting the puzzle pieces together to make shit happen. My empathy and intuition allows me to confidently execute projects. I’m analytical. I’m curious and I ask a lot of questions; not because I’m nosey, as some would say, but because asking questions allows me to learn, think deeper, and expand my connection and/or knowledge about the topic and/or problem. I have a natural eye for aesthetics, style, and design and love curating spaces and events/productions. I bring my natural creative skills to meet my strong intellectual and advocacy roots together to make us more free— one step at a time, in all the ways we know how.
Let’s collaborate.
EXPERTISE
Project Management
From administrative and operations, developing email campaigns, and executing project plans and timelines, I weave people, resources, ideas, visions, and strategies together for successful project execution. Read more about my experience here.
Storytelling
In written and visual form. I began writing in high school and believe it’s been my avenue towards liberation. It’s nearly saved my life. Read more about my experience here. I also visually share stories through photography. I believe photos enable feelings and emotions that sometimes, words can’t. View my photography here.
Strategy, Creativity, and Racial Equity
I take a holistic approach that looks at the entirety of an ecosystem— from regulations, policy, community readiness, external environments, and available resources— to recommend viable strategies. Everything I do is rooted in a racial equity framework. Learn more about my experience here.
